Mercy

This week at my school has been Mercy Week. It is a long tradition. Mercy is:
mer·cy (mûrs)

n. pl. mer·cies

1. Compassionate treatment, especially of those under one's power; clemency.

2. A disposition to be kind and forgiving: a heart full of mercy.

3. Something for which to be thankful; a blessing: It was a mercy that no one was hurt.

4. Alleviation of distress; relief: Taking in the refugees was an act of mercy.

speed bump

Wednesday as we know is hump day. Today I am visualizing it as my speed hump in my crawl towards those holidays. I have 6 classes to teach today, including my ever demanding year 12's. I teach drama and drama students are... well Dramatic. But they are inspiring even more so. I encourage them to dream, to believe they can have it all and I just saw this print on pinterest that I thought I would show them today to help them as they work on their major assessment for the year "The Solo"

Crawling towards the holidays...

In the school holidays I get to be everything I wish I was during term. I get to be the detailed housewife because I have time to clean up and bake etc. I get to be the attentive Mother because I get to sit with my children and do artwork or puzzles and the like at leisure. I get to design at will and fix my website and I HOPE these holidays, only 4 full school days away now, I get to be the blogger I want to be.

I want to be a better blogger. I want to make the time every day to share a little wisdom, joy or something pretty. I know I have the time... I just have to make the time.


So far I pretty much suck at it. But I'm not giving up. I'm still here with all my crazy thoughts ... is there anyone out there? :)
